Six accused armed robbers were detained between April 15 and April 17, 2022, according to the Ghana Police Service.
According to the police, the individuals were apprehended as part of a targeted intelligence-led operation in Accra and the Central Regions in connection with a series of crimes, including carjacking.
"Jibrila Musa alias Danturi, Hussain Sampa, Daniel Acquah, Anthony Sackey, Michael Ojo, and Ade Banjor, the six suspects, were apprehended at various locations throughout the two areas.
"So far, one locally produced gun, one foreign handgun, a stockpile of ammunition, two iPhones, and four wristwatches have been seized from the suspects," said Supt. Alexander Kwaku Obeng, Director, Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, in a press statement obtained by Starrfm.com.gh
