Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, the founder and presiding Bishop of the United Methodist Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), has described the loss of his son, David, as creating a "strange situation."
Bishop Heward-Mills delivered the remarks during a sermon titled "The Grave Is Not the End" on Sunday, April 17, 2022.
"My son David died away recently. Everything is ruined by it. Do you want to know whether I'm sad? Will you be sorry if one of your sons dies? That is a question you should ask yourself.
"It's ruined everything." It creates a humorous environment and makes everything absurd. "We always attempt to wish it away, but it is what it is," Bishop Heward-Mills says.
After a brief illness, Dr. David Heward-Mills passed away in the United States.
