A day after Twitter Inc (TWTR.N) adopted a "poison pill" to shield itself against Elon Musk's $43 billion cash offer to purchase the social media business, the billionaire posted "Love Me Tender," an Elvis Presley song.

 

"It would be totally inexcusable not to bring this offer to a shareholder vote," Musk tweeted after his TED lecture on Thursday, hinting at the potential of a hostile takeover in which he would circumvent Twitter's board and put the offer straight to its shareholders. find out more

 

 

 

Musk, a self-described "free speech absolutist" who has been critical of Twitter and its policies, responded to a post from 2017 in which he inquired "How much is it (Twitter)?" with an upside down question in another tweet over the weekend.
