Achemfuor Asiedu Agyeman III, the Chief of Abetifi, has proposed building an airport in the Kwahu region to enhance tourism, particularly during Easter celebrations.
He believes that such an airport might be sponsored by locals, the majority of whom are successful merchants and traders.
In an address at his Abetifi Palace on Sunday, April 17, 2022, Achemfuor Asiedu Agyeman, who is also the Adontenhene of Kwahu, made the suggestion as part of his 30th anniversary celebration of his enstoolment.
The event also took place during Kwahus' Easter festivities.
According to Achemfuor Agyeman, the airport's development would allow tourists to travel directly to Kwahu during the Easter celebrations from their various spots throughout the world.
