A bicycle effort has begun in the Adaklu District of the Volta Region to ease the suffering of pupils.
The "Pedal to Excellence" programme entails providing bicycles to disadvantaged pupils in the neighbourhood as a commitment to supporting quality education for indigenes seeking transformative change.
The programme, which was started by Helga Liz Haberfellner, Founder and Executive Director of Friends of Adaklu (FOA), was inaugurated on April 5 and saw six students from the Dawanu Salvation Army Basic School in Adaklu get bicycles for the first time.
The contribution was provided by FOA members Gillian Sylvester and Steven Sylvester to assist pupils in their travel to school from Golokofe, Dome, Agblefe, Kpedzi, and other areas.
