Mensah Bonsu, a 9-year-old kid, drowned in a pool at the Rattray Park Recreational Centre in Kumasi, Ashanti Regional.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday, April 17, 2022, while the deceased's family was having fun as part of the Easter festivities at the recreational centre.
The youngster, a third-grader, is said to have drowned when his mother went to get a towel for him after he refused to swim at first.
In the absence of his mother, he, on the other hand, dived into the pool with his other siblings.
After diving into the pool, he drowned.
All attempts to revive him were futile, and he died soon after.
