In the competition, the Egyptian's goal and assist against the Red Devils matched a feat only achieved by the former Arsenal star.

Mohamed Salah's goal and assist for Liverpool against Manchester United in the Premier League on Tuesday equaled a seven-year-old record.

With his goal against United and his assist for Luis Diaz, the African became only the second player in competitive history to score and assist in both home and away matches against United.

The former Germany international spent seven seasons with Arsenal before joining Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig.

Salah, on the other hand, has followed in Ozil's footsteps by ending his three-game goal drought in the English Premier League.
