The religion of Islam is a religion of peace and thus preaches peace. Thus we attain peace by submitting totally and unconstitutionally to the will of our Creator, Sustainer, and Nourisher, Allah (the most High the one who is free from all associated partners)
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of ALLAH (peace be upon him) said, "By HIM in Whose Hand is my life! You will not enter Jannah until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I inform you of something which, if you do, you will love one another? Promote greetings amongst yourselves." (Riyad as-Saalihin, Book 6, Hadith 4). This is one of my favourite Hadiths.
Our beloved prophet Muhammad may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him did not leave stone unturned. He was the best teacher to mankind and sent as a mercy to all creations. In him is an embodiment of good character worth emulating. By following the footsteps of the prophet Muhammad may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, we are sure to be among those whom Allah loves.
Paradise is not just through our deeds or actions; it is from ALLAH'S Mercy. And it is HIS Mercy that through loving one another and spreading Salaam that you can attain Jannah. Even in Jannah, when the people meet each other, there is just peace. Why are you not talking to your brother or sister, etc, to the extent of no Assalaamu Alaikum to them. Well, if you can not forgive him or her, then don't expect ALLAH to forgive you, and this is serious. Send him or her Assalaamu Alaikum now.
