Due to fan unrest, UEFA has ordered Marseille to shut a portion of their stadium for the home leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final against Feyenoord.

After the first leg of Marseille's quarter-final against PAOK in Greece was marred by brutal fights between supporters, European football's regulatory body launched an inquiry.

Before the game, there were incidents outside the Velodrome, and there was further unrest inside.

Marseille was fined 98,000 euros ($106,000) in total for igniting fireworks, hurling items, and obstructing passageways, in addition to the closure of the club's Virage Nord.

For similar offenses, PAOK was fined 50,000 euros and ordered to contact Marseille within 30 days to rectify the damage caused by their fans.

On April 28, Marseille will travel to Feyenoord for the opening leg of their semi-final encounter, before hosting the Dutch club a week later.
