CHELSEA'S MAIN FOUR OPPONENTS ENJOYED BENEFIT AFTER CUP EXITS - TUCHEL

Chelsea supervisor Thomas Tuchel said their opponents for the Champions League puts had neglected to gain by the "tremendous benefit" they were given after early cup exits permitted them to zero in on the race for the main four.

Chelsea have arrived at the last of the FA Cup, League Cup and Club World Cup, as well as the quarterfinals of the Champions League, and have played a larger number of games this season than some other Premier League club.

"Since I thought, 'Goodness, I know how Antonio Conte can manage groups when they are engaged and he can prepare them truly'.

 

"I thought this will be an enormous inspire for them in the homegrown contest, and the equivalent for Arsenal when they left the cup. I figured it would be an enormous lift for them, since they have an extremely youthful and skilled group."
