In Osun state, three young guys allegedly murdered their friend, punctured his body, and extracted his heart.

They were apprehended by the Osun State Police Command for the murder of a buddy on the Osogbo/OAU Ife Campus Road.

The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Olayade Kehinde, 21-year-old Raimi Sheriff, and Olufemi Oriyomi, were seized by security officers on stop and search' duty on Thursday, 7 April.

How the police's 'Stop and Search' operation resulted in their arrest

SP Yemisi Opalola, The Command's spokeswoman, confirmed the arrest on Friday, 15 April 2022, adding that the three suspects were flagged down by security officers on a 'Stop and Search,' " but rather than stopping, they raced away and were chased."

They were apprehended and carefully searched by the police.

During the search, officers discovered a human heart in one of the bags the three were carrying.

They also discovered several varieties of charms inside another bag.

They were detained and transported to a police station in the Safejo district of Ile-Ife.

The three young guys were questioned by authorities, and during the interrogation, they revealed to the cops that they had slain one of their pals and taken his heart for ceremonial purposes.

A few hours after their arrest, one of the suspects, Oriyomi, felt ill and was brought to the hospital by police.

Unfortunately, Oriyomi passed away while being treated at an unidentified hospital.

According to our information, the suspect's body was sent to a state hospital for an autopsy.

Yemisi Opalola stated that after the police investigation is completed, the remaining two suspects would be charged in court.

Confirming the claim to reporters, the state commissioner of police, Olawale Olokode, encouraged caregivers in Osun to always supervise their children and to caution them against having a bad company that would drive them to do illegal activities.

He, on the other hand, warned young people in the nation to constantly engage in a lawful business and avoid anything that would damage their brighter future, such as all sorts of "get rich quick" mentality, such as Internet fraud and others.

Cases of ritual killings have recently appeared on our timeline.

Tens of young and middle-aged males have been apprehended with human parts in the previous few months.

How another guy was apprehended in Osun with human parts

A suspected ritualist was apprehended by agents of the Osun Western security network agency, Amotekun, with dismembered human parts a few months ago.

On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, the individual was apprehended in Igege town, Ola- Oluwa South- East Development Area.

According to the story, the guy was apprehended by villagers who forced him to open the 'Ghana Must Go' bag he was carrying.

Residents were stunned to see disfigured human parts after unwrapping the package.

Residents attacked the suspect with sticks and other weapons as a result of this event.

Amotekun, the Osun western security network agency, was alerted, and personnel of the security network assaulted the location.

When they came, they saw the man's possession of mangled human parts and detained him.

Following his arrest, the security network turned him over to the authority of the state police.

In response to the report, the Field Commander of the state's security network, Amitolu Shittu, acknowledged the news and stated that the issue will be thoroughly investigated.

He stated that the suspect has been sent to Osogbo for a thorough investigation and prosecution.

When contacted, Yemisi Opalola, the state police command's spokesman, confirmed the report and stated that the command had received brief details about the incident.

Yemisi stated that any developments resulting from the arrest of the anonymous guy will be communicated to the media.

Three months after the event was initially reported, the media has yet to get a report from the police command on the man who was found with disfigured body parts.

Members of the public, on the other hand, have begged authorities to ensure that the suspect is prosecuted for the killing of the nameless victim.
