A 14-year-old girl died tragically at the Kokrobite beach in the Greater Accra Region's Ga South Municipality.
According to reports, the event occurred on Easter Monday when the deceased, a Kokrobite Presby School Junior High School (JHS) 3 student, went to the beach with her mother to sell food.
She was supposed to be sunbathing on some piled-high boulders on the shore when a strong storm passed through, splitting some of the rocks.
A piece of shattered rock landed on the girl's forehead, causing her to bleed heavily and scream for aid.
She was sent to the Kokrobete hospital but unfortunately died. Her family and classmates have been affected by the occurrence.
