Four armed men disrupted an Easter Convention at the Heaven Embassy Chapel on Good Friday, blocking three entrances to the church auditorium.
The bandits kept about seventy persons, predominantly Atwima Afrancho residents, hostage for almost thirty minutes while demanding their personal things.
"All we heard was an instruction to turn out the lights." They opened fire on the assembly on the third command. Some youngsters were hurt as a result of the gunshots, but we were unaware of it. One of the criminals began roaming around the church auditorium, stealing money and cell phones from the congregation," recounted Prophet Bernard Appiah Fobi, one of the preachers invited to the event.
