Binduri MP call on philanthropists and well-wishers for support over the rainstorm [check details]

After the rainstorm within the Kusaug Traditional area few days ago, the MP of Binduri constituency pay a visit to communities and houses affected by the rainstorm within his district (Binduri).

He made this known to the general public on his Facebook page. He wrote:

“On Saturday 16th April,2022, I toured my beloved Binduri constituency to assess the extent of damage, and the impact of the recent rainstorm on communities and livelihoods. The rainstorm has wreaked havoc destroying over 1,000 structures including houses, schools, clinics, worship centers and shops among other properties and leaving some people homeless in the process.

The District Director of NADMO, Assembly members for Tansia, Zawse and the Bansi electoral areas joined my team for the inspection and assessment mission. I have assured the affected persons of my support to enable them overcome the difficulties occasioned by the rainstorm. I am also calling on philanthropists and well-wishers to join hands with us to bring relief to those affected. I remain resolute to mobilize allies to support the communities to quickly settle to normal life.

Following from our preliminary assessments, we have set up ‘The Binduri Rainstorm support Desk’ at the District NADMO office to mobilize support in terms of building materials including, roofing sheets and wood, nails, cement, clothing and food items among others to help the affected persons.

With the rainy season fast approaching, your urgent help is needed to help find shelter for the persons rendered homeless
