The retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has just dropped$18 million on a knock-out new waterfront estate in Miami Beach.
Mr. Mayweather, 44, was crowned the highest-paid athlete of the decade by Forbes in 2019 after he brought in $915 million over a 10-year period.
His lavish new home is a nine-bedroom mansion which is conceived for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment, fitted with neutral, sleek interiors and it has amenities including an indoor movie theater, a gym, a game room, a large entertainment area and elevator.
Mr. Mayweather, who won a bronze medal at the 1996 Olympics as a featherweight, retired in August 2017 with an undefeated record.
