5. Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (South Africa) – $270 Million
Football, rugby, and large concerts can be held in the 46,000-seat stadium. It was also opened as part of the FIFA World Cup preparations in 2010. It was planned by a South African firm and constructed for $270 million. It is one of a kind because it was built with a view of a lake in mind. The late South African president, Nelson Mandela, inspired the name.
6. Estadio 11 de Novembro (Angola) – $227 Million
It cost $227 million to construct this large multifunctional stadium in Luanda, Angola. It's named after Angola's Independence Day, which falls on November 11th each year. Shanghai Urbinvest, Arup Sport, and Sua Kay Architects collaborated to design the stadium, which was built by Shanghai Urban Corporation Group. The Africa Cup of Nations was held there the following year, once it was finished in 2010.
