Fans of Accra Hearts of Oak went gay when the club signed former Black Stars midfielder, Sulley Muntari.

Hearts of Oak got the experienced midfielder to bolster their line up for the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season. Hearts were treble winners from last season where they claimed the League title, the FA Cup and an automatic Super Cup in the process. Their continental club campaign was nothing good to write home about after conceding 10 goals in two qualifying games.

Morocco giants, Wydad Athletic Club and Algeria side, Jeunesse Sportive de Saoura inflicted those two painful defeats on the side in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup. The Phobians have not performed well this season and decided to ripe in the 2010 UEFA Champions League winner to strengthen their squad.

Sulley Muntari won his first trophy with the club when Hearts of Oak defeated rivals, Asante Kotoko 2-1 to claim the 2022 President Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium. The former AC Milan midfielder has not been in camp for sometime now and reports are that, the player is considering quitting the club for reasons yet to be known.
