Football is the only sport in which people from all walks of life and cultures can come together and speak in unison in support of their favorite team.
The game can be classed into three fundamental categories: win, draw, or loss.
However, some players have no business with any of these three because they struggle to control their level of aggravation even when their team is winning.
We’ll look at several athletes who have a hard time managing their emotions.
1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Ibrahimovic has a reputation for being a hothead.
Early in his career, he had a fight with a teammate during training, and the teammate’s father wanted him removed off the squad.
After that, he was involved in a series of escalating violent encounters with both teammates and opponents.
During his time at Barcelona, for example, he assaulted his coach Pep Guardiola.
He got into a training-ground incident with Milan teammate Oguchi Onyewu, hit Bari defender Marco Rossi in the stomach during a game, and choked NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson with his fist.
2. Mario Balotelli
Balotelli is an Italian professional footballer who was born on August 12, 1990, and plays as a striker.
He is also one of the most aggressive players on the field, as he rarely smiles even after scoring.
Balotelli’s rage knows no bounds, as evidenced by his outburst with Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini at the time.
After a scuffle with Sinclair, the coach ordered Balotelli to leave the training pitch, but the Italian striker refused.
3. Luis Suarez
Suarez’s roles are well-known, having been suspended in various ways.
His first biting incident came on November 20, 2010, when he bit PSV’s Otman Bakkal while playing for Ajax.
He was fined an undisclosed amount of money and suspended for two matches by Ajax.
He was dubbed the “Cannibal of Ajax” by a Dutch magazine.
He was a Liverpool player at the time of the second incident.
On April 21, 2013, after a 2–2 draw with Chelsea, Suarez bit Branislav Ivanovic.
A ten-game ban was imposed on him.
During the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Suarez bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini while waiting for a cross.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee banned Suárez for nine international matches two days later.
4. Marco Materazzi
Marco Materazzi has a reputation for giving out his own violence after being headbutted by Zinedine Zidane at the 2006 World Cup.
During his career, the Italian veteran received more than 60 yellow cards and 25 red cards.
His aggressive style of play has gotten him into a lot of problems in the past.
Materazzi is no lightweight, weighing around 200 pounds and measuring 6′ 4″ tall.
5. Diego Costa
Costa is a professional footballer who now plays for Atlético Mineiro, despite being admonished and fined for many clashes with opponents due to his obstinacy on the field.
During a match between Arsenal and Chelsea, Costa and Arsenal defender Gabriel got involved in a scuffle that led in the latter being sent off.
Diego Costa has a known for battling everyone, including referees.
6. Pepe
Pepe made headlines during his time at Real Madrid for stepping on Lionel Messi’s hand during a match between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
He got away with it that time, but not when he kicked and stamped on Getafe’s Javi Casquero during a La Liga encounter in 2009.
The defender was given a four-match punishment for his awful behavior.
