MANCHESTER UNITED HAVE AFFIRMED THE APPOINTMENT OF ERIK TEN HAG AS THEIR NEW CHIEF.

Manchester United have affirmed the appointment of Erik ten Hag as their new chief.

The Dutchman will become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's super durable replacement toward the end of the season, when current break manager Ralf Rangnick is due to move into a consultancy job at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag has agreed to a three-year contract extension with Manchester United until 2025, with the option of an additional 12 months, and is preparing to leave Ajax after spending four and a half years in the Amsterdam relegation zone.

"It is an amazing privilege to be named a director of Manchester United and I am enormously invigorated by the test ahead," Ten Hag told manutd.com following his arrangement.

I know the historical backdrop of this incredible club and the enthusiasm of the fans, and I am not entirely set in stone to foster a group equipped to convey the achievement they merit.

"It will be challenging to leave Ajax after these extraordinary years, and I can guarantee our devotees my total responsibility and spotlight on finishing this season before I move to Manchester United."

John Murtough added: "During the past four years at Ajax, Erik has impressed as one of the most interesting and fruitful mentors in Europe, eminent for his group's appeal, going after football and obligation to youth.

"In our discussions with Erik paving the way to this arrangement, we were profoundly dazzled with his long-range vision for returning Manchester United to the level we need to contend at, and his drive and assurance to accomplish that.

"We hope everything turns out great for Erik of Karma as he centers around accomplishing a fruitful finish to the season at Ajax and anticipate inviting him to Manchester United this mid-year."

A robust member of FC Twente during his playing days, Ten Hag acquired administrative involvement with their childhood groups and as a first-group colleague prior to spending very nearly three years in a comparable job at PSV Eindhoven.

The 52-year-old took on his most memorable administrative occupation with the Go Ahead Eagles in 2012, before assuming responsibility for Bayern II and Utrecht in front of his Ajax arrangement in December 2017.

Ten Hag significantly drove Ajax to the semi-finals of the 2018-19 Champions League before they were dispensed with by Tottenham Hotspur and has previously come out on top of two Eredivisie championships, two Dutch Cups and one Dutch Super Cup in Amsterdam.

The Eredivisie pioneers hold a noteworthy lead at the highest point with five games left to play in the 2021-22 Eredivisie season, but went down 2-1 to PSV in the last of the Dutch Cup recently.

 

Ten Hag's arrangement is dependent upon the Dutchman's being allowed the appropriate work visa prerequisites.
