The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced that it is planning to expand the distribution of RTS and S malaria vaccinations to additional sections of the country.
The Service's Director General, Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye, announced in Accra on Wednesday that the pilot, which finished in January, will be expanded to additional districts in the coming months.
He was addressing at the Hohoe launch of World Malaria Day, which will take place on April 25 with the theme "Advance Equity, Build Resilience, End Malaria."
Dr. Aboagye stated that the pilot will be carried out with the help of the central government and development partners in order to prevent more youngsters from the sickness.
"We're still talking about it and making plans to figure out where we'll go."
