The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) and the Students Representative Council (SRC) of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) are working together to raise cash to pay fees for 3000 of the 6000 students who have been postponed by the university due to non-payment of fees.
"We are attempting to mobilize and assist the SRC in paying for additional students; we are targeting roughly 3000 of them to ensure their tuition are paid and their postponement is reversed," Dennis Appiah Larbi, President of NUGS, told the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday.
He went on to clarify that there were preparations in place for the remaining students, and that the Association will make sure that every student's needs were satisfied.
The NUGS President stated that they were able to reach an agreement.
