Real Madrid are interested in bringing Chelsea full-back Reece James to the Santiago Bernabeu before the start of the next season, according to Spanish website Fichajes (h/t Football.London).

Because of his versatility and consistency, Reece James has become an important player for Thomas Tuchel. The Englishman started the season as an aggressive full-back, scoring and assisting on multiple occasions.

Later in the term, when his defensive presence was most needed, he adapted to the necessity. In 32 games, he has six goals and seven assists, which is outstanding considering this is his third Premier League season.

Real Madrid are preparing a £58 million bid for Chelsea's Reece James. The Chelsea full-back has recently piqued Real Madrid's interest. Los Blancos are now thought to be willing to offer the Chelsea board €70 million (£58 million) in order to clinch the Englishman's signature.Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of the Madrid-based team, is dissatisfied with Dani Carvajal's poor performances and wants to replace him with Reece James next season.

Will Chelsea lose Reece James?

Chelsea struggled a lot this season due to his injuries. César Azpilicueta was forced to move to the right-back position at the time, which didn't produce the same results as before. This episode demonstrates the Englishman's importance to the team.

Real Madrid are preparing a £58 million bid for Chelsea's Reece James.Reece James' father endorsed his son to become a Chelsea captain one day in an interview earlier this season. He even mentioned that Didier Drogba and John Terry were idolized by the Englishman.

After being promoted to the first team in 2019, Reece James has demonstrated tremendous improvement. If he maintains his current productive streak, he could soon earn a sizable salary. So far, he has been a regular under Thomas Tuchel, appearing in major tournaments such as the Club World Cup and the UEFA Champions League.

Given all of the circumstances, it appears unlikely that the Blues player will quit the club. He has been devoted to us for numerous years, and Real Madrid's offer may not be enough to persuade him now that he has the right stage to grow and display his talent.
