Over the years, the Premier League has seen several greats who were known for their unique brilliance, technical ability, and innovation. Footballers are born with either the ability to play with their left or right foot, but others are blessed enough to be able to play with both without risking harm.So, without further ado, here are the five greatest left-footed attackers in Premier League history.

 

Daniel Sturridge (#5)

 

Daniel Sturridge was one of those talented players whose careers were cut short by injuries. He is remembered for his ferocity during his first full season with Liverpool, when he scored 22 league goals.

 

Sturridge is the first Englishman to win the Champions League with two different Premier League clubs, Chelsea and Liverpool, in 2011-12 and 2018-19, respectively. He didn't play in either of the finals, though.

 

He has played for English clubs such as Chelsea, Bolton Wanderers, Manchester City, and West Bromwich Albion, but his most trophy-laden spell was at Chelsea. With the Blues, Sturridge won the Premier League, the Champions League, and two FA Cups. He was at his most prolific at Liverpool, scoring 68 goals in 160 appearances.Sturridge is presently a member of the Perth Glory of Australia.

 

Olivier Giroud (#4)

 

Oliver Giroud is one of the world's most dependable strikers. He is best remembered for his time with Arsenal and Chelsea, two fierce London clubs.

 

He was at the top of his career during his stint with Arsenal, scoring 105 goals in 253 games for the Gunners. Giroud won three FA Cups and three Community Shields with Arsenal during his stay there.

 

 

After six years with Arsenal, Giroud joined Chelsea in 2018. He won the Europa League in 2018-19 and the Champions League in 2020-21 while playing for the Blues. In Chelsea's excellent Europa League run, the Frenchman was the leading scorer.He also won the FA Cup in his first season with the Blues, making him one of the few players in history to win the FA Cup with two different clubs after winning it with Arsenal the previous season.

 

Giroud is presently a member of AC Milan.

 

Lukaku, Romelu

 

 

Romelu Lukaku is widely considered as one of his generation's best strikers. He is one of a select group of players who have scored over 100 Premier League goals.

 

Lukaku began his Premier League career at Chelsea when he was 18 years old, but owing to limited first-team games, he had little influence. The following season, he was loaned to West Bromwich Albion.Lukaku made huge strides with West Brom, scoring 17 Premier League goals in the process. The hat-trick he scored against Manchester United in a 5-5 draw in Sir Alex Ferguson's final game as United manager was his season highlight.

 

Lukaku moved to Everton on loan the next season, but it wasn't until the following season that he became a household name. At Everton, he earned a name for himself by breaking numerous records, including the club record for most EPL goals scored in a season.

 

Since Bob Latchford, he is the first Toffee to score 20 goals in three successive seasons.From 2017 to 2019, the Belgian played for Manchester United for two seasons, scoring 28 goals in 66 Premier League games before joining Inter Milan in the summer of 2019. During his time at Inter, he helped the club win the Serie A title in 2020-21, scoring 24 goals in the process.

 

In the summer of 2021, Lukaku returned to his boyhood club Chelsea.

 

Robbie Fowler, No. 2

 

Robbie Fowler is unquestionably the greatest Liverpool footballer of all time. He is the Merseyside club's all-time leading scorer with 183 goals (128 Premier League goals).Fowler has played for a number of clubs, including Manchester City and Leeds United. He has 163 Premier League goals to his name, which places him ninth all-time.

 

In 1995 and 1996, he won the PFA Young Player of the Year title for two consecutive seasons, a feat just a handful have accomplished.

 

Fowler's ferocious form saw him score 30+ goals in each of his first three seasons (1995,1996 & 1997). During his career, he won five titles, including the UEFA Super Cup and the UEFA Cup.Fowler is now the manager of an Indian Super League team.

 

Robin Van Persie 

 

Robin Van Persie is widely regarded as one of his generation's best forwards. He is one of the few players in Premier League history to win the Golden Boot with both Arsenal and Manchester United.

 

With 144 goals, 96 goals, and 48 goals for Arsenal and Manchester United, Van Persie is the seventh most goal scorer in Premier League history. At the Emirates Stadium, he holds the record for most goals scored.Van Persie had his most prolific Premier League season in 2011-12, when he scored 30 goals in 38 league games. He won the Golden Boot, the PFA Player of the Year, and the Arsenal Player of the Year for his efforts.

 

By scoring 26 goals in the 2012-13 season, the Dutchman was instrumental in United's final league title, earning him the Golden Boot and Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year.

 

In 2019, Van Persie announced his retirement from football with his boyhood club, Feyenoord.
