Harry Maguire is not planning on posting on social-media beyond describing England's friendly wins as an enjoyable week playing for his country. This is believed to be clear and focused on what needs to be done to return to his best form.
This is fair enough to him. I don't think it's a big deal, come the world cup if he plays well it won't matter the same way it was in the Euros.
I'm honestly surprised by the entitlement other players expect. Most fans pay for the right to cheer or boo whoever they want. Also, nothing wrong with picking him. For sure his form can be questioned and maybe other players deserved a chance, but he's been good for England. So I don't see why not pick him in some friendlies.
Some argue that he can't return to his best form because he doesn't have a best form. In an age of agile fast CB, he would have been great in the Steve Bruce era but the game has changed.
Maybe Harry only wants to play for the national team, he looks forward to it rather then Man United games. It's actually unfortunate that the team that covers his wages he doesn’t give 100% expected.
That’s what we need from players. Spend the time that you are on social media to be ok then go to the training field. I’d be training from waking up till sundown if I was a football player earning that much money.
According to some fans, the only thing that can be done is drop him on the bench. Maybe take captaincy from him because he gets selected regardless of worst defensive performance when other players are dropped and make him fight for his place in the team!
A lot of people might conclude that his best form is still bang average. He’s still mentally and physically weak to be United captain. They’re literally just trying to justify the 80 million pound price tag on him.
