Paul Pogba appears to have played his final game for Manchester United, according to Ralf Rangnick, who also revealed that the midfielder will most likely not play again this season.Pogba was pulled off with a calf injury barely ten minutes into United's 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool.
The Frenchman was quickly ruled out of the forthcoming games against Arsenal and Chelsea.
Rangnick, though, has ruled Pogba out of United's remaining games, citing the doctor's assessment that he will be out for four weeks."The doctor said it will take him at least four weeks to recuperate, and the last game is in late May," Rangnick told the media.
"I don't believe he'll be able to play again."Pogba's contract with United expires in the summer, therefore it appears like this will be his final appearance in a United shirt.
"That could be Paul Pogba's last minutes in a Manchester United shirt, if that injury lasts for a few weeks," Gary Neville stated on co-commentary after Pogba was substituted for Jesse Lingard.
Pogba is said to be exceedingly unlikely to sign a new contract, according to reports.
Pogba's treatment by his own fans in the 3-2 win over Norwich at Old Trafford, where he was jeered by parts of the United faithful, is alleged to have been the final straw. In addition to the booing when he was brought off, United fans chanted "f*** off" at the World Cup winner.
In what appears to be his final gesture at the Theatre of Dreams, he answered by cupping his ears full-time to them as he returned down the tunnel.
Pogba has played 229 times for United, scoring 39 goals in his second term after joining for £89 million from Juventus in 2016.
In his debut season, he won the Carabao Cup and the Europa League.
