The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) leadership has issued an urgent letter to its members (teachers) regarding data collection and submission.
According to the Association, their attention has been directed to a post extensively shared on social media claimed to GNAT management, in which it is stated that Headquarters is collecting and receiving data on some NON-TEACHING GES personnel whose Retention Premium Allowance has ceased.
According to a statement signed by Isaac Nii Baah, the Director of Salaries and Conditions of Service, Management had never taken such a decision, and hence the information on data collecting should be viewed with the contempt it deserves.
In light of the foregoing, GNAT's management is working with other teacher unions and GES in the spirit of fair labor practices to find a mutually agreeable solution to the problem.
