The threat was received on Wednesday, and on Thursday afternoon, police brought a specialized explosives dog to Maguire's home, where he lives with his fiance and two children.
According to a police statement, "on Wednesday 20 April, Cheshire Police were contacted to reports of a bomb threat at a property in the Wilmslow area."
"There were no evacuations, but a police explosives dog was dispatched to the home today afternoon, Thursday 21 April, to undertake a search of the gardens and surrounding area as a precaution."
The police were told via email, according to The Sun, that a bomb would be planted at Maguire's family home soon.
