Attorney General and Minister of Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame is asking for attorneys who criticize courts and judges on social media when rulings do not go in their favor to be penalized, especially in high-profile political matters.
According to him, such behavior by members of the Bar, as well as their venomous remarks, is clearly inappropriate.
According to him, the perpetrators of such crimes are unrelenting in their efforts to force a certain narrative down the throats of the unknowing populace.
"My Lord Chief Justice, one would have assumed that attorneys would have taken advantage of the digital revolution, which I have spoken about this morning, to consolidate their practices," the AG said at the bench, bar, and faculty meeting in Accra on Thursday April 21.
