Despite a recent bomb threat against his family, Harry Maguire has reportedly told his friends that he is not willing to leave Manchester United in the summer.
After his team's 4-0 hammering in the derby against Liverpool at Anfield the night before, the Red Devils center-back received the threat on Wednesday.
"Harry has received a significant threat to his family home in the last 24 hours," a spokeswoman for Maguire stated.
"He has informed the authorities, who are investigating the situation." Harry's top goal is certainly the safety of his family and those around him.
"He'll continue to practice as usual for this weekend's match."
After police arrived at Maguire's residence to conduct a thorough search, including the employment of a sniffer dog to examine the surrounding area, no device was discovered.
"This kind of threat will not pull Harry out of Manchester United," a source close to Maguire told The Sun.
"His top priority will always be the protection of his family, but he has the character fortitude to deal with it." It appears to be the product of a cowardly fan.
"If that is the truth, they are a complete disgrace to this proud football club's name."
The England international, who joined the Red Devils for more than 90 million euros from Leicester City in 2019, has been chastised for his performances this season and was booed by England fans during a friendly against Ivory Coast last month.
