Mr Paschal Ajongba Kaba, the Bono Regional Secretary of the Ghana Agricultural Workers Union (GAWU), stated on Thursday that ending child labor in Ghana needed a holistic effort from all stakeholders.
To ensure the future of children, he added, legislative foundations for combating all types of child exploitation must be strengthened.
Mr Kaba made the remarks at a capacity-building session for the media hosted by ActionAid Ghana (AAG), a non-governmental organization, in Sunyani to help the organization's Modern Day Slavery Project run smoothly.
The project is being carried out in the areas of Bono, Oti, Northern, and Upper West.
Thirty journalists from the Bono Region took part in the event, which educated them on topics such as contemporary slavery and child labor.
