Wayne Rooney said new Manchester United director Erik ten Hag will require time from the load up and tolerance from the fans assuming his crew remake is to find success.
United named Ajax Amsterdam coach Ten Hag as their new administrator to succeed interval manager Ralf Rangnick from the finish of this season, with the 52-year-old marking a three-year bargain.
Ten Hag is the fifth extremely durable administrator to be selected by United since Alex Ferguson resigned in 2013 and he will be entrusted with resuscitating the fortunes of the Old Trafford club, who are 6th in the Premier League with five matches left.
"It's an enormous work," said previous United striker Rooney, who presently oversees Derby County.
"I believe it's great to see since they have placed a director in that it appears as though they will provide him with a touch of time, from what I've seen.

United have not won a prize since winning the Europa League in 2017 and they last came out on top for the Premier League championship under Ferguson in the 2012-13 season.
