The playoffs began on April 16 and will end on June 19 at the conclusion of the 2022 NBA Finals.
On March 9, 2022, the Phoenix Suns became the first team to clinch a playoff spot. On April 5, the San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans became the last two teams to qualify for postseason play, as both teams secured spots in the first-stage play-in tournament.
The race to the Finals start as soon as the 2021/22 season does, with all BBL and WBBL teams hoping to secure their place in the Play-Offs. The biggest games in British basketball are back as the 2022 Play-Off Finals return to The O2 on Sunday 15 May 2022.

The current betting favorites to win the 2021-22 NBA championship are the Phoenix Suns with +260 odds. They're followed closely by the Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics to make up the top four on the oddsboard.
Nikola Jokic is the favourite to claim a second straight MVP award. In a hotly contested race with Joel Embiid of the 76ers and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Bucks, it appears that Jokic is in control to become the 13th player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVP awards.
It's been a tight race all season long.
Luka Doncic began the season as the betting favourite but was soon passed by Stephen Curry who came out of the gates on fire. As Curry cooled off in December, the three dominant big men emerged to make it essentially a three-man race from the time the calendar flipped to 2022.
