Since the Black Stars' qualification to the FIFA World Cup, there has been a lot of good feeling toward the team. This has further been enhanced with the potential inclusion of young world-class talents like Eddie Nketiah, Callum Hudson Odoi, Tariq Lamptey, Myron Boadu and others. Whiles the GFA tries to sort out who the new gaffer will be, it is clear that many Ghanaians favour the combination of Otto Addo, George Boateng, Didi Draman and Chris Hughton to take charge of the impending Afcon 2023 Qualifiers and the Mundial itself.

All kit manufacturing giants clothing all the world cup participants that will be in Qatar have planned to release new kits for the occasion. Starting May 2022, it is expected that Puma will unveil its new wares for its participants with Nike potentially last in September 2022. As per FIFA regulations, the teams must have two different kits, which on special occasions will be worn in a mixed pair in case of a clash of colours. Ghana will maintain her traditional White/Black Combination and the alternative is Gold/combination of colours. Some kit templates have popped up in anticipation of the big reveal. Most Ghanaians will be excited to know that finally, the famous Gold jersey, which made a comeback after about 20 years will be Qatar.

German Giants, Puma will have the privilege of kitting the Black Stars for their third world cup out of a potential four. The Black Stars are determined to put behind the debacle of Brazil 2014 behind them. Only two survivors from Brazil 2014 are currently with the team, the Ayew brothers. Group H will be quite interesting, will Andre Ayew exorcise the demons of old foes Uruguay? Or will it be a revenge mission against Portugal? Or maybe one more hat trick from Jordan Ayew against favourite opposition South Korea- 3 of Jordan’s 18 goals for Ghana is against South Korea in a friendly? Qatar here we come!
