According to The Athletic, Arsenal are looking into signing Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus during the summer transfer window.
Discussions between Arsenal's technical director Edu and Jesus' representatives are said to have been ongoing for several months, and the 25-year-old is said to be open to the idea.
Arsenal are looking to bolster their attack in the upcoming market, and Jesus, who joined City from Palmeiras in 2016, is one possible acquisition.
Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a 25-year-old striker, is also being considered.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta previously worked with Jesus at City, and sources say the North London club is the current favorite to sign him.
Jesus' playing time at City has been limited, and if City is successful in luring Erling Haaland away from Borussia Dortmund, that will be impacted even more.
The Athletic reported on Tuesday that Haaland, 21, has approved a move to the Etihad Stadium and that the striker's representatives had reached an initial agreement with City on personal terms.
Jesus' current contract expires in 2023, raising the possibility of a move, though talks between Arsenal and City have yet to begin. The reigning Premier League champions insist they do not want to fuel transfer rumors surrounding him.
The Brazil international would help to bolster Arsenal's front line following the January departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona, while captain Alexandre Lacazette's future at the Emirates Stadium is uncertain.
Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, who shone away to Chelsea on Wednesday, have contracts expiring in June.
This season, Jesus has appeared in 23 Premier League games, scoring three goals and assisting on eight others. He has also played an important role in City's Champions League campaign, scoring three goals and assisting once in six games.
Since his £27 million arrival, he has appeared on 229 occasions for City, scoring 89 goals.
