The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has initiated the country's second COVID-19 mass immunisation programme, warning that the epidemic is far from ending.

The goal, according to the statement, is to help strengthen the national immunisation campaign.

Last Thursday, the Director-General of the GHS, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, launched the campaign in Somanya, Yilo Krobo Municipality, Eastern Region, urging people not to ignore safety procedures in the face of loosened restrictions until the war was totally won.

"We need to win this war fully, and it is for this reason that we have met here to roll out a series of COVID-19 vaccines," Dr. Aboagye said.

The subject of the workout is "Protect yourself, protect your family, obtain help."
