Member of Parliament for Medina Constituency Francis-Xavier Sosu has warned Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame to stay away from the judicial branch of government.
In an open letter, the MP said that the Attorney General's recent public utterances indicate that he is "in bed with the judiciary."
"Under this government, the rule of law is in grave jeopardy, and sadly, the Attorney-posturing General's and public pronouncements, as the Government's Principal Legal Advisor, only add to the notion that the AG is in cahoots with the judiciary.
"Let me suggest to the Attorney General that he remain away from the judiciary." The judiciary and the administration of justice must be independent and impartial, and must not be influenced by popular opinion.
