Mamboda’s father died in a war at the time his mother was carrying his pregnancy, his people came from Gambaga to see the grave of Mamboda's father, so Kusasi ask his people that their relative left a woman with 6months pregnancy and if they could take her along, Mamboda’s mother was a Kusasi from the Sarabogo Clan, after she was sent to Gambaga, Mamboda was born and it was communicated by the gods that Mamboda should be sent back to where his father's grave is to prevent some mysterious happenings, but in those years it was difficult to travel from Gambaga to Bawku because of various wars, especially the Aguri War, which was between the Kusasi at Kugri and the Gambaga Mamprusis. So Mamboda had to dress like a mad man with his mother to enter Zabugu where his Uncles the Sarabogo Clan is occupying, it is from there that his mother dragged him to the Riverside and showed him where his father's grave is and his direct uncles house.
