A businessman accused of insulting Carlos Ahenkorah, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tema West Constituency, has been granted GH10,000 bail with two sureties by an Accra District Court.

Nana Yaw Ntim pleaded not guilty to the charge of insulting behaviour.

In the meantime, the case has been sent to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for ADR (ADR).

On May 24, 2022, the parties are scheduled to return to court to present a report on the settlement.

In requesting bail, the Defense Counsel stated that the Party already had institutions in place to resolve the situation and that the accused had individuals of substance to stand as sureties, as well as that the case did not merit the use of public resources to remand him.

After that, he prayed for the Court.
