The Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers has declared that when Muslims have completed the month of Ramadan, egg prices would rise on the market.
According to the Association, tiny size eggs will witness a 30% hike, while unsorted eggs will see a 28% increase.
According to the Association's leadership, tiny sizes will grow from 23 to 30 each crate, while unsorted sizes will climb from 25 to 32 per crate.
This means that a single unit of an egg, which now sells for $1.50 at retail, might witness a price increase.
