Liverpool vs. Everton - Preview , missing players ,prediction, team news, available players, lineups, kick off time
On Sunday afternoon, a Merseyside derby with major implications at both ends of the Premier League table will take place at Anfield, as Liverpool renew hostilities with long-time rivals Everton.
At the time of writing, the local rivals were separated in the standings by fifteen places and 47 points, with the Reds still vying for the quadruple and Frank Lampard's side fighting for their lives.
Team Updates
Despite being given one of the most punishing spring schedules of any Premier League team, Liverpool's treatment room is still empty, with the exception of Roberto Firmino, whose foot injury will need to be assessed before Sunday's derby.
Otherwise, Klopp has a fully fit squad for Everton's visit and will almost certainly consider reshuffling the pack with Villarreal in mind, as Naby Keita, Kostas Tsimikas, and Diogo Jota push for recalls to the starting XI
Thiago Alcantara was sensational against Manchester United, but he may be one of the big names rested this weekend, while Joel Matip may take over for Champions League regular Ibrahima Konate for the time being.
Everton, on the other hand, have been dealt a hammer blow with the news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss the Merseyside derby due to a thigh problem that will keep him out for at least 10 days, while Donny van de Beek and Andre Gomes are also fresh concerns.
Van de Beek will miss out due to a groin strain, Gomes will miss out due to a similar issue, and Lampard will also be without Andros Townsend for an extended period of time. To boot, there's Tom Davies and Nathan Patterson.
Dele Alli came off the bench to help Everton equalize in midweek, but Lampard is unlikely to change his starting lineup, with Richarlison leading the charge in Calvert-absence Lewin's and Fabian Delph in the middle.
Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Salah, Jota, Diaz
Everton possible starting lineup:
Pickford; Coleman, Mina, Godfrey, Mykolenko; Delph, Allan, Iwobi; Gordon, Richarlison, Gray
PREDICTION : Liverpool 3-0 Everton
