Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne and defender Nathan Ake played through wellness issues during Saturday's 5-1 home win over Watford in the Premier League, chief Pep Guardiola said.

De Bruyne has been managing a foot issue as of late, while Ake wound his lower leg in their success over Brighton and Hove Albion in the midweek.

Belgian global De Bruyne played 57 minutes on Saturday, giving a help to Gabriel Jesus' subsequent goal, and Ake supplanted Aymeric Laporte in the 63rd moment in spite of not recuperating completely from the last match.

"I have 14 or 15 players fit and the last couple of games Kevin and Aymer played a ton of minutes," Guardiola told correspondents.

"Kevin, it doesn't appear as though it, yet he is playing with some upsetting niggles in his lower legs for the kicks he got in the last games," Guardiola added.

With City set to have Real Madrid in the principal leg of the Champions League elimination round on Tuesday and travel to Leeds United for an association game four days after the fact, Guardiola said he was attempting to deal with the players' responsibility.

"Obviously, at 4-1, I am pondering that. It isn't simply Madrid, it's Leeds too. You have seen the timetable," he said.

"That is the reason at that time I am thinking the game is practically finished and I give rest somewhat recently to the players who have played a great deal of minutes.

"We don't have loads of focal defenders to that end Nathan played with a major issue in his lower leg."

The Spaniard said he couldn't say whether harmed defenders Kyle Walker (lower leg) and John Stones (muscle snugness) will be fit to confront Madrid.

City are top of the association on 80 points with five matches left, four points above second-put Liverpool who play later on Sunday.
