In a meeting with football director John Murtough and CEO Richard Arnold, Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick condemned the first-team players as "selfish, over-inflated, lacking quality, and too powerful," according to The Mirror. The German was forthright in his criticism of the players, whom he believes lack professionalism to an alarming degree. He identified examples of players who blatantly disobeyed his instructions, while many others simply lack the drive and skill required to play in the Premier League.Rangnick is said to believe that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, and Victor Lindelof aren't good enough to be regular starts in defense, but that the club should keep captain Harry Maguire despite the criticism the England international has received. There's optimism for Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, who may be a good fit for Erik ten Hag, but Rangnick insists on a younger striker leading the line. We'll have to wait and watch if United takes his advise and completely overhauls the squad.
