5 MANAGERS WHO COULD REPLACE THOMAS TUCHEL AT CHELSEA

Thomas Tuchel was an instant success at Chelsea last season, leading the Blues to their second UEFA Champions League title only a few months after his arrival. This season, the team appears to be heading in the right direction, as they have a chance to end the season with a trophy.

However, there are concerns about the tactician's future at Stamford Bridge in light of the sanctions imposed by the UK government on the club and its owner, Roman Abramovich, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs looking to take advantage of Chelsea's situation in order to sign Thomas Tuchel.

If the German is forced to leave Stamford Bridge soon, the Blues will be forced to appoint a new tactician as soon as possible. On that note, here are five such options:

Graham Potter is gradually establishing a decent reputation in the Premier League, thanks to his incredible tactical knowledge and brilliant game approach. So far this season, his Brighton & Hove Albion team has been one of the most tactically adept teams in the English Premier League.

It goes without saying that the 46-year-old has the potential to become one of the Premier League's best tacticians. Potter's team currently sits 12th in the table, despite having a game in hand that could push them higher.

Ernesto Valverde (no. 4)

Ernesto Valverde has managed a number of clubs in Spain and Greece, with varying degrees of success. Barcelona, Villarreal, Olympiacos, Athletic Bilbao, Valencia, and Espanyol are among the clubs he has managed.

His most successful spell was at Camp Nou, where he led the Blaugrana to four trophies, including two La Liga titles, one Spanish Cup, and one Spanish Super Cup. He left the club in January 2020, having averaged 2.23 points per game in 145 games.

Valverde has been out of the dugout since parting ways with the Blaugranam, but gw has recently hinted at a return. The Spaniard is unquestionably one of the best candidates Chelsea could choose to replace Thomas Tuchel.

Diego Simeone is number three.

Chelsea are well-known for their defensive strength, physicality, and sharp counter-attacking play. Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid may be the best manager whose system checks all of these boxes.

Over the last few years, the Argentine has emerged as a standout tactician in Europe. His team has proven to be a worthy opponent for even the most ferocious attacking clubs on the continent, producing memorable performances.

With Thomas Tuchel's future uncertain, Chelsea may be forced to start looking for a replacement if he leaves. They would not only have a decent replacement in Simeone, but also one of the best managers in the world.

Zinedine Zidane rose to prominence in spectacular fashion, guiding Real Madrid to one of their most successful eras between 2016 and 2018. He led them to an unprecedented three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles; no other club in the competition's history has won consecutive titles.

The Frenchman left Real Madrid after his second spell with the club ended at the end of last season. Zidane has been out of work since leaving the Santiago Bernabeu, but he could be back on the bench soon.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in the 49-year-old (PSG). Chelsea could also make a move for him if Thomas Tuchel leaves in the coming months.

Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is another top-tier tactician who could take over at Chelsea in place of Thomas Tuchel. In fact, the Spaniard has been on the Blues' radar for quite some time, so it wouldn't be surprising if he makes the move to Stamford Bridge anytime soon.

Enrique is currently in charge of the Spanish national team, with whom he has done wonders in recent months. He has helped La Roja qualify for the FIFA World Cup this year by winning his last three games in charge.

In addition to his eye-catching international exploits, the Spaniard has also had a successful club career. In his trophy cabinet, he has one UEFA Champions League, two La Ligas, and three Spanish Cups, among others.
