Chelsea, like other institutions, has spent money on several signings to revitalize the squad over the years. And, as a courtesy, here are the club's top ten most expensive signings of all time, as well as their contributions to the club's success, beginning with the lowest-priced player.

10. Mateo Kovacic - Left Real Madrid for Chelsea on a year's loan in 2018 and later signed a permanent deal worth £40.5 million. The Croatian has been an integral part of the club's success, winning four trophies so far.

Ben Chilwell, no. 9

The 25-year-old joined the Blues from league rival Leicester City a year and a half ago for a reported fee of £45.18M and has won three trophies with the London club: the UEFA Champions League, the Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Timo Werner, no. 8

Chelsea immediately taps on such shine slammed a huge sum of money £47.70M, and have achieved a lot from the 26-year-old lifting three trophies so far, having given Robert Lewandowski a close margin on the golden boot race back in the 2019/2020 season with 28 goals.

7. Jorginho made Napoli a profit of €50.5 million on July 14th, 2018. Chelsea has made a lot of money from the 30-year-old dynamic midfielder, lifting the UEFA Europa League, Champions League, and Super Cup, as well as an individual honor - the UEFA Best Player in Europe.

Torres, Fernando

Torres was not a success story at Chelsea, but his last-minute goal against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League semifinals a decade ago was the club's proudest moment of the £52.65M star, leading 'the Blues' to their first CL trophy. Four years later, he was sold to AC Milan for a reported fee of £2.5 million.

Christian Pulisic is number five.

Joined for a reported fee of £57.60M from Dortmund in June 2019, the 23-year-old has demonstrated considerable talent with the club and is regarded as a generation success, having won three trophies so far.

Alvaro Morata

Morata joined Chelsea for a reported £59.40 million from Atletico Madrid, but he left two years later for a reported £46.8 million.

Arrizabalaga, Kepa

Athletic Club's rising star in 2016 joined Chelsea for a club-record fee of £72.00M in 2018 and is currently part of the squad as a cover for Edouard Mendy, lifting several trophies with the club.

Kai Havertz is number two.

Since joining the club a year and five months ago, the 22-year-old German international's journey has been a success story, winning the UEFA Champions League, the Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, and possibly the FA Cup this season.

1st. Romelu Lukaku

Joined Chelsea in 2011 from Anderlecht for a fee of £12.54 million, left three years later for a fee of £29.6 million, and succeeded in Italy with Inter Milan, Chelsea tabled a bid of £101.70 million eight months ago, and the Belgian impactions in the club have been less satiable, registering only five goals in the Premier League this season.
