Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia paid an unexpected visit to Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, at his Old Fadama residence on Saturday to wish him well on his 103rd birthday.
The Vice President prayed for the Chief Imam's long life and good health so that the nation could continue to sip from his well of wisdom.
Dr. Bawumia stated that Ghana was experiencing peace and harmony in the West African Sub-region as a result of the friendly connections between Muslims and Christians, adding that the Chief Imam was a personification of peace who radiated through his interactions with people of all different faiths in Ghana.
"Happy 103rd Birthday to my father, the National Chief Imam," Dr Bawumia said on his social media accounts.

Through his spokesperson, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaib, the Chief Imam praised the Vice President for his unexpected visit and prayed for the country's continuing peace and stability.
He prayed for Allah's wisdom and guidance for the President, Vice President, and all government officials.
