With just over a year left on his current contract, Mohamed Salah is yet to negotiate a new term with Liverpool.

One of the sticking blocks appears to be the length of his contract, with the Egyptian reportedly demanding a five-year agreement and claiming that age should not be an issue.

Salah mentioned a number of players who are still producing well into their 30s, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

"When I ask certain players about turning 30, they say it's a different sensation, but I don't know, I'm OK. I'm loving life, and I'm enjoying football, regardless of your age. Players are demonstrating this now: they are all extending their careers "He informed FourFourTwo about it.

"After 32, 33, you can see a lot of the great players - [Robert] Lewandowski, [Karim] Benzema, [Lionel] Messi, Ronaldo, Zlatan [Ibrahimovic], a lot of guys; also [Edin] Dzeko in Italy, [Olivier] Giroud, a lot of players. After 30, they all do exceptionally well, so I'm not concerned."

Despite these comments, Salah maintains that he is content at Liverpool. "This club means a lot to me - I've had more fun playing football here than anyplace else, and everyone noticed it," he remarked.

"I've had a lot of incredible experiences here, like winning trophies, scoring individual goals, and receiving individual trophies. It's like being part of a family here."

He also stated that he is unconcerned about entering the final year of his current contract without a plan in place. "I'm not concerned; I don't allow myself to be concerned about anything. The season hasn't ended yet "Salah said. "So let's get it done as quickly as possible - that's the most essential thing. Then we'll wait and see what happens in the coming year."
