These were the scenes at Prenton Park as Liverpool Women celebrated their title win and promotion with a trophy lift

Liverpool produced a dominant display in their final home game of the season in the FA Women's Championship.
Two Katie Stengel goals plus strikes from Leanne Kiernan, Melissa Lawley, Missy Bo Kearns and Jasmine Matthews all contributed to a huge 6-1 win against Sheffield United - and then the party really started at Prenton Park.
The Reds had already sealed the title and promotion to the Women's Super League, with today's game pencilled in for a trophy lift after the final whistle.
The afternoon began with an emotional version of You'll Never Walk Alone before the visitors showed their class by giving Liverpool a guard of honour as they took to the pitch.
And the post-match scenes did not disappoint, with jubilant celebrations as the squad got their hands on the glittering prize in front of a record 2,138 attendance.

Liverpool Women's final league fixture takes place away to Lewes on Sunday 1st May - and then all attention will turn to preparations for the new campaign back in the top flight.
Earlier this week, manager Matt Beard told the ECHO that while aims for this term have been achieved, it is just the first stage of an ambitious vision that he hopes can unfold over the years to come.

He said: "The plan was to get back in the WSL. We need to consolidate when we get up because it’s a tough league but part of our plan was winning trophies and that’s not going to happen overnight - we understand that and there is a process in place to be as competitive as we can. We’re in the process of trying to secure our own purpose built training facility for the first team and academy.
“We want to be as successful as we can but I'm not naive. You can look at when we played Arsenal (Liverpool lost 4-0 in the FA Cup fifth round) - it was quite a competitive game. But in moments where we switched off we got punished. The level of the top three in the WSL, which has been a consistent top three - there’s a massive gap with everyone else. It’s going to take us two or three transfer windows to be able to compete with those top teams but the ambition is to be there long term.”
