This occurred when an ESP bus with the registration number AP 7778-21 collided with a trailer with the registration number GR2703-P carrying goods bound for Mali.
The driver of the ESP Kia, according to an eyewitness, was speeding.
DSP Benjamin Buxton, the Bole District Police Commander, verified the accident to Adom News. Some of the wounded passengers were transported to the Bamboi Polyclinic for treatment, while the deceased were deposited in the Wanchi hospital mortuary, according to him.
To save lives, DSP Buxton has encouraged cars on the Wa-Bamboi route to slow down.
Meanwhile, the ESP bus has been towed to the Tinga police station, and police officers have been dispatched to the accident area to assist with traffic control.
