Accidents: Drivers consume 'wee toffee' to help them drive for extended periods — Fire Commander
The Winneba Municipal Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has uncovered that a few business drivers consume substances in their bodies to help them to drive for extended periods.
As per the Winneba Municipal Fire Commander, DOIII Kwesi Hughes, primer examinations led into the Accra-Cape parkway accident demonstrated that the drivers, particularly the people who drive Mercedes Sprinter and 207 transports have taken 'wee toffee' to assist them with driving which causes the uncontrolled accidents.

Around 20 travelers are in basic condition, while 26 different people are harmed and getting treatment at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital in two separate accidents on the Kasoa-Cape Coast roadway throughout the weekend.
The principal accident occurred at Gomoa Mpota while the second occurred at Gomoa Mankessim in the Central Region.
The three vehicles engaged with the primary accident were a Sprinter Benz transport, a KIA Rhino, and a DAF Trailer.
DOIII Kwesi Hughes uncovered that the Kia Rhino attempted to surpass the Sprinter transport yet crushed into its side.
It in the long run crashed into the DAF Trailer coming heading towards Cape Coast from Accra.
Eight travelers who had been caught in the transport were hurried to the emergency clinic.
The subsequent accident includes a Sprinter Benz Bus with the enrollment number GN-2572-10 from Cape Coast to Accra burst its tire and somersaulted simultaneously.
The effect of the accident left numerous in basic condition.
DOIII Kwesi Hughes talking on the accidents on Sunrise FM on Monday, April 25, 2022, said "the drivers of this runner transports take in substance which is a maltreatment.
"So their blood is hot. They take in wee toffee so the police can go underground and do examinations to check."
He made sense of that "when they sit behind the wheels, they are simply pursuing cash.
"A runner can surpass 15 vehicles at a go. See, I have been utilizing this stretch on an everyday or weekly premise and what I at times see, it is exceptionally awful."
