Gov't pardons Mahama's case on Covid spending

 

The Authority Specialist on Prosperity, Dr Anthony Nsiah Asare has pardoned claims by past President John Dramani Mahama that the Akufo-Addo association has abused Covid saves.

 

Mr Mahama presented the defence during the 24th African Business Social occasion composed by the Harvard Business school.

 

"Ghana's predetermination was quite easy to anticipate with the pompous treatment of the economy by the continuous association. We went into the pandemic without adequate help, and have emerged with a battered economy," he said.

 

"To compound the present circumstance, the pandemic reward of over GH¢33 billion which could have cushioned the economy remains unaudited and is acknowledged to have been used commonly in the excursion to win the 2020 choices at all cost," he said.

 

However, answering his comment in a meeting with TV3, Dr Nsiah Asare said "For anybody especially the Past Head of State who has been in government beforehand, who has been the top of this country already, should say this thing at a worldwide conversation, to me something should be reprimanded.

 

"On the off chance that you get worldwide fora and you are discussing your country, it is the best time for you to let people know what Ghana has done without a doubt."
